Nouvel édifice à bureau locatif

Un des défis du projet consistait à désigner un bâtiment locatif sans connaître les locataires, et assurer que tous les espaces soient bien éclairés, intéressants et flexibles. 

Le coin du bâtiment se trouve visible des voies principales donc devient un élément marqueur et signalétique. Il a été traité avec une courbe, élément de mur rideau vitré et en panneaux d’acier prépeints. Le projet se distingue par une fenestration qui est un jeu de vitre teintée en tons variés de gris et de givrée, exprimant une horizontalité qui donne une présence au bâtiment. Sur les autres façades, on y trouve un jeu de revêtement de brique, une tôle ondulée et un revêtement en panneaux architecturaux métallique. 

De plus, ce projet est en voie de devenir candidat LEED Or au Canada. Ainsi, pour répondre aux critères environnementaux très rigoureux de la norme LEED, le projet inclut, entre autres, une toiture blanche pour réduire les effets d’ilots de chaleur, un mur solaire de 1000 pieds carrés - un élément fonctionnel intégré à la façade comme élément de masse en revêtement de tôle perforée de couleur noire, et un vitrage qui assure une faible émissivité.
