Le site en question, occupant le lot triangulaire borné par le boulevard Henri-Bourassa, le boulevard de l’Acadie et l’autoroute des Laurentides, abrite plus de vingt-trois immeubles résidentiels, desquels plusieurs demeurent inhabités et arborent des vitres brisées et des murs délabrés. Le site est maintenant presque entièrement abandonné et repose dans un état pitoyable, nécessitant désespérément une revitalisation de fond en comble.

Notre plan propose la démolition complète de tout immeuble occupant présentement la superficie, à l’exception de l’adresse civique 2090 Place Henri-Bourassa . L’organisation spatiale du site se concentrera autour de trois points focaux, lesquelles seront accessibles uniquement à partir d’une nouvelle route qui donnera sur le boulevard de l’Acadie. Cette nouvelle route, partant de l’existante, encerclera un large parc qui se situera au cœur du site. Cet espace sera partagé par tous ceux qui vivent dans le développement et au potentiel d’assurer l’interaction et un esprit de communauté pour les habitants. Le plan introduit également un deuxième parc plutôt linéaire afin de permettre un accès facile aux piétons ainsi qu’aux véhicules d’urgence à partir du boulevard Henri-Bourassa.

Ce plan de développement en trois parties consiste en un Volet social, un Volet Accès Condo (SHDM) et un Volet privé. Les trois volets ouvrent sur le nouveau parc situé au noyau du développement.

Ce plan suggère un développement responsable d’une moyenne à haute densité d’immeubles à plusieurs usages qui fourniront un ensemble d’habitations dynamiques et vibrantes. Notre proposition multidimensionnelle, qui s’efforce à rassembler toutes deux les environnements bâtis et naturels, réanimera et redonnera la vitalité avec succès à cette aire de la ville qui est présentement occupée par nombreux bâtiments muets, abandonnés et en état de détériorations.
